Privacy policy and affiliate disclosure

Affiliate disclosure

1inch Guide is a reader-supported, independent website. Some outbound links on this site — including buttons labelled “Visit 1inch” and links inside our articles — are affiliate or referral links. If you click one and go on to use the product, we may receive a commission or referral fee. You never pay more because of it.

All affiliate links are marked with the rel="nofollow sponsored" attribute, open in a new tab, and point to the official 1inch destination. An example of such a link is this one: 1inch official app.

Affiliate relationships do not buy coverage, ranking or a positive verdict. Where a product has weaknesses we say so — see the drawbacks sections in our 1inch wallet review and our 1inch vs Uniswap vs PancakeSwap comparison. If you want to understand how the referral mechanics work technically, read our guide to the 1inch affiliate program.

No financial advice

Everything published here is general educational information about decentralised finance. It is not investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any digital asset. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose your entire balance. Do your own research and consider speaking to a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

What data we collect

  • Nothing that identifies you personally by default. We do not run user accounts, and we do not ask you to connect a wallet to this website.
  • Contact form data. The form on our about and contact page is a front-end demo; it does not transmit or store your details on a server. If we later enable submissions, we would use the name, email and message only to reply to you.
  • Aggregate technical data. Standard server and analytics data such as page requests, referring URL, approximate country, browser type and device class may be processed to understand which guides are useful.

Cookies and similar technologies

We aim to keep this site cookie-light. Where cookies or local storage are used, they fall into two groups: strictly necessary items that make the site function (for example remembering that you dismissed the affiliate disclosure banner), and optional analytics or affiliate-tracking cookies set by third parties when you click an outbound link. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will continue to work.

Third-party services

When you click an affiliate link you leave this site and the destination's own privacy policy and tracking apply. We may also rely on hosting providers, a content delivery network and privacy-conscious analytics. Those providers process technical data on our behalf under their own terms.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we hold very little personal data, most requests can be resolved quickly — contact us through the contact page.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years old.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site evolves or as legal requirements change. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
